A few days had past without any incident. The boys were going to be performing on TV in the next week, so they were busy practicing in the dance studio. According to Taeyang, GD was having a creative roll and had written about three songs in the past week, and they would sometimes be in the studio, just singing the song to see if it had a right sound and all that other musical stuff. The guys were working hard, so I did my best to stay away from them... not that I was avoiding them or anything, no.
Not that I really can avoid them. For some reason I can never fathom, they actually like me. Which was why, during my day off, I had to sit and watch them practice, courtesy of Daesung, who somehow had gotten my cell number. I was almost too afraid to ask. But hey, it’s not like I’m upset or anything. Watching them practice was sure as hell a lot more fun than staying at home with my mother, who was having a ball watching American soap operas online. She didn’t even speak English...
“Ah...TOP is off a bit...” I mutter to myself, smiling a bit when GD had caught up to that and was quick to correct TOP. GD was always on top of things, but I guess that is what comes with being a leader. But even I knew that a leader shouldn’t have that much pressure on him, as much as GD had. The more I think of what he might have over his head, the more I worried. I worried for all of the guys, but if ever GD falls, Big Bang will fall right with him, and that is something that cannot happen.
“Alright, let’s take a break,” GD said after a while and I watched quietly as the guys stretch themselves a bit, obviously a bit worn out from the dancing. “Good job, guys. I know you tried your best!” GD was grinning at them. Ah, at least he was smiling. That was good. I play with my fingers for a bit, looking down on the floor before I heard my name being called. I look up and Taeyang was gesturing for me to come to them.
“We’re going to eat lunch in the cafeteria,” he simply told me, and I knew he expected for me to follow. I swear, they will chase me down if I try to run away from them. I stand up and I followed them to the cafeteria, where we happily got our food and sat alone at one of the empty tables. I really was hungry, and I was getting ready to basically shovel the food in my mouth when I felt a vibration in my pocket, and I already knew who it was.
“Is that your boyfriend?” Taeyang ask from next to me as I replied to the text message Jin sent me.
“No. I don’t have a boyfriend. It’s just my friend, you know, the gay one.” I gave Seungri and smile and he just glared at me.
“Still not funny,” he says as the others laugh, and I just continued to grin.
“What is your friend’s name, anyway?” TOP asks and I set my phone on the table. I took some food in my mouth and chewed and swallowed before I answered.
“His name is Lee, Jin-Woo. He’s a journalist,” I answer them, before realizing my mistake. Shit, shit, shit! Would they know his name? Or even the entire issue about the affair. The boys were really close to each other, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they did know. Still, I take a look at them, and I gulp at the looks they gave me. “Uh...what?” I ask, though I knew what those looks meant. They knew who Jin was, and the agreement that he and our boss had considering GD. Still, I just play dumb and I roll my eyes, looking at my food. “You guys are acting weirder than usual,” I mumble before I continue to eat. Jeeze, awkward much?
After we ate our lunch, I excuse myself to go and use the bathroom as the boys head on up to the recording studio to work on one of the new songs. I use the bathroom and while I was washing my hands, the door busts open and in came GD, looking pissed off and very panicked. “What do you know?” he demanded as he stormed over to me, and continued as I back away from him, a scared look on my face. I have never seen GD so mad before... My back hit the wall of the bathroom, and GD closes in on me, staring hard down at me. I bite my lip, looking away. “Well?!” I jumped at his loud voice, looking straight at him with wide eyes.
“I... I don’t know what you mean...” I said, my voice trembling a bit. Oh God, I knew I was a bad liar, and by how angry he looked after I spoke, I just knew that he knew I was lying. I was terrified. GD was so angry and upset, and he knew that I knew some information about him that NO ONE should know. God, what do I do...? “I...” I started, and he narrowed his eyes at me. I look away again, staring at the tiled bathroom floor and I start to chew on my lip. I guess telling him the truth would be the best... he wouldn’t have one more thing on his mind to worry about. “I know... about the af-UMF!”
“Shut up!” he hissed at me, having covered my mouth with his hand as I was talking. “Dammit, we don’t need anyone overhearing us.” he gave me a hard look and I just nodded in understanding, taking a breath when he finally removed his hand from my face.
“I’m sorry...” I muttered, hanging my head a bit. My mouth hurt. I was still feeling scared. Dammit, this was the LAST thing I ever wanted to happen!
“What are you doing tonight?”
I look at GD, giving him a questioning look. Why did he want to know that? “I’m going to the movies with Jin.”
“Cancel it.” Was GD’s immediate response and I just blinked at him. “We’re going to my apartment to eat dinner.” he said with a final tone. Ignoring my incredulous look, he just turned and walked right out the bathroom, and I just stood there against the wall, wondering why in the hell he would ask... not even ask, he DEMANDED I come to his apartment for dinner. Just...
What?
