Instead of posting my usually Takagi picture spam, I actually decided that I actually found this translated blog that I wanted to share with you all

It's from Shinpei's blog, and the entry is dated as being from April 27th, 2009.
It's just super-sweet, and when I first read it, I just HAD to read it 4 or 5 more times. The blog itself is kind of short, but the amount of love and admiration Shin-kun has for Man-kun is just SO amazing, I can't even find the words to describe it.

Oh my goodness. . .that was so touching. . .I can't even come up witht he right words to describe what I'm feeling. . .
Shinpei really loves and admires his brother SOOO much! He's so sweet and gentle and cute!!

It's so touching to read about how much they compliment each other, and then read interviews about how they quarrel during fliming. . .>_< I'm like "You two were just all over each other a mintue ago, and now your fighting?!"

(They really do act like a married couple, don't they?)

Anyway, thank you SO much for sharing this with us, I love reading Manpei and Shinpei's translated blogs, they always put me in a good mood

Okay, I couldn't go another minute without coming on here and sharing this story with everyone (it's just TOO good!)

So this morning, me and my family went out for sunday brunch. We ordered a lot of food (because it was delicious) so we got pretty full.

Now my sister (who was sitting next to me in the booth) and I get really loopy/crazy when we eat too much food. Like, you know how people act crazy when they're drunk? My sister and I are the same way when it comes to food. . .

So anyway, we're both HUGE fans of 'Ouran', and the twins are our favorite characters because we relate to them so much. (Especially since my sis and I act "lovey-dovey" with each other at very random moments).

Well, after we had finished eating, I guess this was one of those random moments because out of the blue *no lie* my sis put her head on my shoulder and then placed her hand on my leg. And I still don't know what came over me, but I guess I must've got the 'hint' because I responded by placing my hand on her chin, and we both gave each other the "googley-eyes", so we kinda looked like this. . .



Then about 5 seconds later we both just BURST out laughing. It took us almost 5 minutes to calm down, because we were just laughing so hard, and we knew people around us had to be staring at us like "What the heck is wrong with them?"

And our parents just looked at us like this. . . (They're way too used to our foolishness by now, so they don't even say anything about it anymore. . .) X-D

It was just a totally random/silly moment, but it was just so funny because ever since we first got into Ouran Host Club, my sis and I enjoy entertaining ourselves by mimicking the twins behavior.

*Is 'sisterly-love' more or less taboo than 'brotherly-love', I wonder. . *

So anywho. . .I know it's been a couple of days, so here's some more pictures from my catalouge of Manpei and Shinpei pictures. . .wootwoot!







*The name of the actor in the center is David Yanou, but apparently the twins called him "Musa-chan" lol They were all in a play together a couple of years ago. According to the blog I got this from, the twins really looked up to this guy a lot. I thought the picture was cute ^_^*

The live-action twins get sexier in every episode, they're really impressive. Having it live-action is one hell of a sensory overload. Gotta love that symmetry!

Mrs.ManpeiTakagi, that post is probably one of the funniest things I've read on this thread so far X-D

Doing public displays of affection with a sibling is something I've never personally experienced before. (I have an older brother but he's 5 years older than me, and lives away from home).
I mean I love my brother and everything, but I don't think we'd ever take it as far as you and your sister did LOL

I have to admit, that's pretty cool that the both of you have a close relationship like Manpei and Shinpei do, to the point where you can be openly affectionate with each other and not be embarrassed about it. I've only known a few set of siblings who were like that. How old are you and your sister by the way; I'm just assuming you're close in age. . .?

And you brought up a good point, is affection between two sisters more "socially acceptable" than affection between two brothers. . .? Is it a cultural thing?? I honestly don't know. . .
Part of me thinks that there's this double standard that exists. That affection between women is acceptable or even considered "hot" depending on the situation, while affection between men is somehow "dirty and gross".
I mean, either way siblings who love each other is always better than siblings who want to tear each others throats out, right?

And thanks for sharing the pictures of us as well! As usual, I've never seen these pics before, and the twins still look as adorable as ever! I especially like the photo of them with Hello Kitty lol
The one of them and Musa-chan is pretty cool too, do you know the name of the play they were in together or what year it came out?

It totally brightens my day and my mood to come on here and see photos of my favorite twins (sorry Fred and George). Do you still have a lot left?

I can't say my sister and I pretend to flirt with each other or anything, but we do hug a lot, even in public, and we're really close friends. And I have to say, we used to fight a lot, so everyone prefers it this way. Like you said, it's waaaay better than fighting.

Also, the double-standard issue is a big source of anger for me. Like, "so these two dudes being together in a loving relationship is unacceptable because it's 'gross', but you go home and wank off to lesbians doing each other?" augh people.

(also, haha, I've heard many complaints from my lesbian friends about how unrealistic porn-lesbians are. XD)

You know what's even more funny/ironic about my last post? The day I posted it, me and my sister were being all "lovey-dovey", but then yesterday she and I had a fight, and we haven't spoken in almost 24 hours. . .

(Maybe we're subconsciously preparing for episode 6 of 'Ouran' when the twins fight?)

It's just TOO ironic right? One day we're best buds and the next day we're fighting. . .I know by time we get home from school, we'll be laughing and playing together again. . .

Anywho, to answer your question Babyface21, yes, me and my sis are close in age, she's 19 and I'm 20, but people tell us we look the same age; so that's why I refer to her as my "twin".

I never understood the double standard when it comes to female/female displays affection and male/male displays affection. . .I mean, isn't it normal for men in certain countries to hug/hold hands with other men even if they aren't related? *I must look into this further*

I just noticed that certain guys TOTALLY go nuts over girl-on-girl action, but the minute it shows 2 guys doing the same thing. . .

Well kind of... I cosplay Hikaru so my friend and I refer to each other as Hikaru and Kaoru, and all that. But personality-wise, I'm actually much more like Kaoru ^^'

Hey ladies!!

I really had nothing else to update on. . .but then I remembered that a couple of days ago I remembered that I finally had the chance to watch episode 36 of GekiRangers staring Manpei. (It's the episode where he uses the 'Drunken Fist' martial art in his action scene towards the middle/end of the episode).

Let me tell ya. . .that was possibly the sexiest thing I've ever seen Manpei do (so far )

The drunken/sleepy look in his eyes when he's doing is fighting scenes seriously made me feel hot and cold and the same time (They looked more like "bedroom eyes" to me but. . .*shrugs*)

That whole series is actually pretty good, but naturally I'm watching all the Manpei/Geki Blue episodes first

(Did I mention how much I love Manpei even more with black hair? I dunno, I guess I just think it suits him better. . .)


Anywho, I really don't think I'll have any more 'Manpei and Shinpei' updates until episode 6 of Ouran airs on friday. I've started back school this week, and it seriously isn't easy to try and focus on classes/lectures when you're busy daydreaming about crinkly smiled, Japanese twins (I'm really trying though!!)

Seriously??!

(I'm sorry, I'm not trying to be rude or make fun).

I guess it's just because I've spent so many pointless hours staring at their profiles, it's become so easy for me to tell them apart now.
Took me about a week, but 98% of the time, I can tell them apart

That other 2% is for those times (like the picture of them as butlers) when I'm literally looking at the screen like "OH, FOR PETE'S SAKE!!!!"
Even now, everytime I see that picture, I end up confusing myself on who's who . . .although I think it's totally cute when they dress identical, personally that's when I find it the most difficult to tell them apart.

But anyway, there's one easy rule of thumb to remember when trying to distinguish Manpei from Shinpei:

Manpei: slightly taller, longer/slimmer face
Shinpei: slight shorter, rounder/fuller face

For live interviews, it's also easy to tell them apart based on their personalities:
Manpei: more laid back
Shinpei: more energetic, usually does most of the talking

And of course MY personal favorite. . .when it comes to public displays of affection (to me at least)in video clips and photoshoots, most of the time Shinpei is the "pitcher/giver" and Manpei is the "catcher/receiver".

Trust me, if you're as much as a hardcore fangirl as the rest of us are, you'll be telling them apart in no time. (And maybe you'll even decide that you prefer one over the other. . . )

Oh yeah, and I have a question for everyone else out there. . .
In another form of trying to tell Man and Shin apart, I've been paying closer attention to how they speak. I thought that there might be a difference vocal-wise in the way they speak, but so far I haven't been able to tell if there's any major difference in their voices . . .has anyone else noticed this? What do you think?

I think listing twin differences has become a specialty of mine >.> Which, I would be proud of if I didn't feel like such a pathetic fangirl by knowing this stuff

I usually look at their face, too... by which is rounder and which is longer... because Shinpei used to have a slimmer face than Manpei (in the earlier pics, like in my sig) And their smiles are different, too: Manpei smiles a little bigger and his eyes crinkle a little more... plus, Shinpei's lips are a little fuller/fatter *sexy* while Manpei's are thinner, and actually Manpei's mouth is just barely wider than Shinpei's mouth. Manpei is slightly taller, and Shinpei never seems to care or try to hide it. Personality-wise, Shinpei is bubbly and social, while Manpei is more introverted and quiet... basically Manpei acts like the uke and Shinpei the seme... probably because Manpei spoils the hell out of Shinpei, so Shinpei learned to take advantage of that and got pushy! But if something really upsets Manpei, he'll apologize and get pretty "submissive" because in the end, he really looks up to Manpei a lot. Also Shinpei is SUPER touchy feely (he touches on everyone he's with, but when it's Manpei, he becomes twice as bad <3 ) I swear he would molest Manpei every chance he got if Manpei let him XDD But one of the greatest things is the looks they give each other, even on camera. It's like "private bedroom eyes" right in front of everyone, like they're sharing dirty secrets through their glances and stares

Anyway, the eyes thing: their eyes ARE different (though I think it's harder to tell them apart from their eyes) Manpei's eyes are a little more almond-shaped or slanted, and they're tilted upwards a bit at the ends. Shinpei's eyes are a little bigger/rounder, and they're straight across. If you stare at a few pictures of them, maybe you'll see what I'm talking about. And P.S. - Through my extensive research, I have found that only Manpei has that freckle on his right eyelid (sadly I wanted them to both have it because that would be so cute and sexy. But they don't. At least they have the same freckle on their collarbones XD)

Their voices are also different. I can't explain in text, but if I hear them talk enough, I can usually tell who's who from their voices. It's not exactly that Manpei's voice is a little higher pitched... but... it's got a slightly different tone? Or maybe not... maybe Manpei's more nasal? Something like that. I can't explain But I admit it's REALLY hard to tell the difference between their voices unless they're talking A LOT.
