It was another day in the hospital. You dealt with people throwing up and delivering babies but nothing out of the usual because you were on it. You went to different rooms throughout your shift with breeze and it was finally time for your break. You sat quietly in the break room just chowing down a banana but your relaxation was soon cut short.
“CRYSTAL!” your friend Lychee came rushing into the break room. She gripped onto your shoulder as she was trying to catch a breath.
“Lychee, what’s wrong? Why are you breathing so hard?”
“There is this CUTE, FINE, HOT, And SEXY GUY! Oh my god, he’s too die for!” your ears perked up while hearing this valuable information.
“Oh really?!” Then how is this hot guy in the hospital?”
“He accidently bumped into a group of guys who were mean as hell and those assholes just took a knife and gave him …” your conversation got cut short by an announcement asking you to go to room B36. Lychee’s eyes opened wide when hearing those numbers.
“CRYSTAL! He’s in that room, RUN girl! Go get him.”
“I guess, he better be an easy patient.”
You made your way to room B36 and looked at the clipboard hanging by his door. Poor guy, it looks like he got a deep puncture across his upper thorax. His wound looks really deep and may require sutures. He was lucky that those jerks didn’t reach his heart. A chill went down your spine when you saw the patient’s name… Hamao Kyosuke. You took a deep breath and slowly opened the door.

You saw the brunette cutie resting on the hospital bed, he looked calm but you could tell he was in pain. You slowly walked closer to his side and were shocked that it was REALLY HIM!

“Mr. Hamao? Excuse me?” he didn’t wake up.
“…. Mao chan?” his eyes slowly started to open and his eyes widened a little as he saw your face. You tried to keep yourself together but damn he looked even more adorable waking up.
“Hi, I’m Nurse Crystal and I’ll be taking care of you today.” Mao chan let out a big sigh of relief.
“Thank God, I got someone cute. Not like the other nurse who was old and crinkly.” You chucked a little.
“Well Mao chan, I’m going to ask for your forgiveness in advanced because this procedure is not going to be easy. It may hurt a lot.”
“Oh I don’t mind.” He smiled and you slowly started to remove his battered shirt. You took a big gulped as you eyed down his chest. You wanted to stare at his rock hard abs but Mao chan cleared his throat. Focus Crystal!

Poor guy, his face cringed while cleaning up his wound. You applied some numbing medicine before you gave him stiches.
“Ok Mao chan, I’m about to close the wound. Bear with me ok? He nodded and closed his eyes. You slowly pierced the needle on his skin and started to close up the wound with such precision. He started to make a tight fist and grunted loudly as you were making towards the end of the wound. YOU DID IT! It was done, another great job by Crystal.

“You can open your eyes now.”
“It is over?”
“See, it wasn’t too bad.”
“Yeah, thank you!” he grinned and you smiled back. You noticed that he sweated pretty badly, and you grabbed a towel and started to wipe off his sweat. You began to pat his forehead and moved down to his cheeks and neck. You started to look away as his eyes were glued to you. You started to panic; you wanted to run away as fast as you could! You dropped the towel and got up from the side of his bed. He grabbed your wrist.
“Crystal, don’t go.”
“But, I have taken care of you. There are other patients to take care of.”
“No, hear me out! I was just going for a stroll when I saw you from a distance. I started to follow you and that’s how I bumped into those guys. I was surprised to find you here. What do you called that? Fate right?”
“I, I, I…” you couldn’t find the right words to say. He pulled you closer. Your eyes locked, you both started to breath heavily. He leans closer to your face, you didn’t move an inch. You closed your eyes and you got goose bumps as you felt his soft lips touching yours. You started to kiss back. It started out gentle but it got heated really quickly. He pulled you on top of him; his hands were around your back and made it down your waist. Your hands were running down his chest carefully as you didn’t want to ruin his stiches. Your hands made down his solid abs and your hands reached his belt. You hurriedly tried to undo it while his hands were going up your dress when suddenly….beeep, beeeppp BEEP BEEP BEEP!! You and Mao Chan froze as you both turned to look at the heart monitor.
“Stupid heart machine thingy, I was having fun. Haha, I forgot I had this finger thing on my finger.”
“It’s called a finger pulse oximeter. And that next to you is a heart rate monitor. Looks like I got your heart racing.”
“It was already racing when I saw you.”
“Ha, liar. You were nice to me so you can get some.”
“Well, obviously you liked it.”
“Maybe, but you almost broke the hospital’s equipment”
“And you almost gave your patient a heart attack. I could sue.”
“You wouldn’t.”
“It’s ok, I won’t press charges. How about I take you to dinner once I get released? Sounds good?” you smiled from ear to ear hearing this news.
“I think you should go ahead and make reservations because since I worked on you, you will be released by later today.” He chuckled.
“So I guess I’ll see you later Crystal.” He took your hand and kissed right between your knuckles.
”See you later, be ready tonight I’m definitely going to give you a heart attack!” he laughed as you made your way out of his room. You really didn’t want to leave him but you’ll see him soon, real soon. So it seems like that phrase “Work hard, play later” is no longer valid. Right Crystal?
