Don't worry about me, I'll still fangirl as often as possible And the Renai fansubs(the people doing Indigo) have a link where you can keep track of where they are in their projects, so you can check when you want as well: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?key=0AvJ3pas7vPt3dEpueHk0ZWg1SktYTnExRDZsRjBsVFE&output=html
Those two are amazing when it comes to acting. Although, I wonder if part of their motivation comes from money? We have no idea how much they make per play/tv show/etc, so maybe they NEED to keep acting all the time in order to just pay the bills. They do live in one of the most expensive places on Earth, and they get regular haircuts/shopping trips/etc, but I bet those have to be paid from their hard-earned cash as well. If I wanted to live that type of lifestyle, then heck yes I would have to work my butt off. It is especially true for them since they are not big time stars yet.
Also, I wonder how many plays/tv shows they try out for but are rejected from? You would think that (just randomly guessing) in show business, for every, say, 1 part they get, they probably got rejected from at least 2 others. I do not know if that is an accurate number, but it would not surprise me. I wonder what kind of shows/plays they have been rejected from? It would be fascinating to see what parts they could have played. Maybe that is why they work on a lot of projects at once: they have to take what they can get, making it all work together.
Just random ramblings. Any thoughts to add?
Thanks for the link Bookworm, I'll be sure to save it so I can keep tabs on the progress of Indigo
About your other comment, I agree that the money probably plays a big part in their drive for getting work as actors (although they seem to generally love acting as well and don't do it solely because of the money). But you're right, they live in one of the most expensive places in the world. I don't know how the bill paying system works in Japan but lately I've been thinking about how the twins pay for their apartment, utilities, etc and like you said, on top of eating out, going on shopping sprees every now and then, paying for their trips to and from Nagoya, and whatever other else they choose to do in their spare time.
And since they aren't super famous right now, they probably depend a lot on working as much as possible. And as far as rejection goes I'm sure it happens a lot, acting is a competitive field. I can't remember but I think I read that Manpei auditioned for the "Prince of Tennis" musicals 2 times and got rejected both times (but he ended up getting the part in Gekirangers anyway).
Imagine their disappointment if the twins both auditioned for the same thing but only one of them got the part?
I doubt it's because of their acting skills because I noticed they've only been acting for about 6 years give or take but they always give 100% and their delivery is always spot on and they only get better and better. That's why I can't wait to see them in more serious roles!!!
It is interesting to think what type of jobs they got rejected from and what roles they may have had. I wonder if they get type-casted a lot because of their "cute and youthful" looks lol
Like, if they've ever have audtioned for more adult-type roles but the casting director or whoever is like "Yeeeeaaaah. . . .they're pretty good actors but, they still look really boyish and kind of immature so maybe will give the part to someone who looks more 'adult'," or whatever haha
It's a good thing that they live together though, as opposed to having to live apart and pay seperately for stuff.
Interesting stuff to think about!
