@Sarilee hmmm I think you should send the one about manpei eating the food I like that one! Its really up to you if you want to do a new one or redo one you've already done... though I think the ones you've done are good but from experience its hard to make a decision despite how good others think your work is

Hey guys... I've been reading along but I haven't had the time to post or reply. I just got back from my Interpretation Conference late Sunday night and I've been really busting my ass at work to catch up for the week of classes I missed (@_@) I'll be going home next week (my flight is on the 22nd). Before then, I've got a lot to care of, but thinking in my head "8 more days... just 8 more days..." makes me feel like I can manage it. If nothing else, I can manage to catch up on all of Manpei's blogs after I get home.

Anyway, right now I had to post because Manpei just updated his blog... and I had to translate it ASAP. Because I've got some HORRIBLE news (T_T) Please read on.

    I don't wanna believe it

My beloved grandma suddenly passed away today.
My older brother called me to tell me.
    I couldn't believe it.
I don't want to believe it.
I really, really loved my grandma.
When I asked her if I could post her picture on my blog,
she would always pose with a smile for me, even though she was embarrassed to do it.

Every time I visited home, I made absolutely sure to visit her.
When I saw my grandma's smiling face,
    I'd feel at peace.
Because my grandma always did her best, I felt like I had to do my best, too.

    Since I was a kid,
she was always so affectionate toward my siblings and me.
    She made us hot dinners,
and filled up the holes in our hearts when we were sad.
When we were striving to be actors and moved to Tokyo, she worried for us every day.
Before the auditions, she prayed to God every day that we would get the part.
The first time I stood on a stage,
    I was anxiety-ridden.
But I got a letter from her.
I always keep it in my wallet and carry it with me.
She was filled with that kind of love.

    I can't stand knowing
that I can never talk to her again
or call her name one more time.

We have to do a Manpei & Shinpei quiz but
    I'm depressed.
    I'm sad.
    I love her.
But I need to be an adult.

Shinpei and I are going home to Nagoya to see our grandma.

OMG our poor boys Onion Attacked by Te I've just been trying not to start sobbing at work as I translated that. I understand what they're going through and it's not easy. I want to give them hugs and let them cry themselves out. At least they have each other so they can be there for each other, understand each other, and know they're not alone. I just saw this on their facebook. I feel so bad for them, they seemed very close to their grandmother. I get how they feel, I lost both mine around the same time.

I remember Shinpei mentioning in one his blogs that their grandma was in poor health, but was she getting much better. Poor boys, my heart goes to them, I wish I could give them a hug. Hug

Seriously. Both Shin and Man talked about how their Grandmother had been in poor health... so badly that the doctors told her how long she had to live. Then she miraculously got over whatever she was sick with, and started getting much better. They were really happy about that, and I guess they all started hoping she'd really make it through. Unfortunately... (T_T)

I'm trying hard not to. . .but I can really feel myself starting to cry right now. . .

I can't even really think of what to say.

Man and Shin must be so devestated right now. I know they both loved their grandmother very much.
And they had just visited her recently too. . .

I actually lost my own grandmother around this time last year, and I had literally just seen her face to face less than 48 hours before she passed away. As hard as I try to forget, I remember everything about that day; getting the absolute worst phone call a person could ever get, the initial feeling of shock and denial, my sister just sobbing like crazy for hours, and then just this cloud of depression hanging over us for weeks.
I had been very been very close to my granny as well, she treated me and my sister like princesses ever since we were born and there's nothing she didn't do for us.It was especially hard losing her so close to Christmas.

I wish there was something I could do for them. . .mentally I'm just picturing myself giving them both big hugs. But I guess all I can do is just keep them in my thoughts, maybe offer their family a special prayer.

It's hard to read Manpei's blog too. . .I wouldn't be surprised if he was crying as he wrote the words.
I hope he and Shinpei stay strong and comfort each other during this difficult time.

I'll be with them in spirit.

The way Manpei interacts with women is just so. . .cute to me Onion XD I can't describe it, but it's very innocent. His shyness just adds on to the cuteness. I was just thinking, I've seen Shinpei hug 3 different girls 3 different times (4 times if you count his one scene in episode 6 of Indigo no Yoru). I just cannot picture Manpei doing the same thing. . .but that's okay, because we still love him!!

i cant watch the video... T-T

Yeah, I guess the mood has gone down in here since we've found out about the twins' loss.

But maybe that's a good thing because it shows that we sympathize with them. . .I know I do.

It may be a while before they become active again and update their blogs (which I don't blame them for one bit.) I totally forgot that Shinpei was in the middle of rehearsing for his new play that's coming out soon. I'm sure he'll need some time to grieve, but I can't wait to have my happy, bubbly Shin-chan back again Hug

Anyway, I just wanted to post something that I found online today that totally made my jaw drop affraid .
I'm not sure who made it, but I have half a mind to look this person up and ask her if she'll make one for me. . . .

Oh, I feel so sorry for them. It isn't easy, I know that too well. My Grandma also died two years ago and I wasn't there. I was at my friend's, but she lived far away. So I told her: "I'll be back in a week." My sister and brother were there and a few hours later, she died. So I really know how they feel.

I wish, they will get back to their normal selves, soon. When I heard about that, this picture came to my mind:

    Spoiler:

She sure was a strong and good person, who always smiled! So she sure would never have wanted them to be unhappy. It's not easy, but I wish they will smile again, sometimes (:

This bag, by the way, is awesome! Saw that, too. And I told myself: "Well, you have to search for new friends! Better friends!" Hahaha. I mean, my sister makes little bags and wallets and that stuff by herself and she's pretty good! And I know a girl, who is pretty good in drawing!

This is not even her best! ~>

I really hope the twins are back to their normal selves soon. They seem like the type of people to bounce back quickly. I'm thinking of adding a note of sympathy in my Xmas card to them. Should I have that part be from all of us so they know they have the support of their fans?

@Minzgruen, I absolutely love that picture with their grandma. She seemed like she was a really cool lady. I see that picture and all I can think is "Swag!" Headesk Sweatdrop

And that drawing is incredible! Is it supposed to be Bill from Tokio Hotel, or someone else? Cause it kinda looks like him...

Here's the German site where I've been watching GekiRangers (although for the life of me I can't remember how I found it in the first place. . .>_<)
All the episodes have been subbed and each episode comes in 3 parts, but the site will only let you watch about 2 episodes at a time, then you have to wait about 45 minutes or so before you watch another one.

I hope it works for you guys!!

Either shirtless or wearing a shirt that's so V-necked that many of us girls will start chanting, 'Oh please...show us your nipples! Show us your sexy nipples!!

I suddenly feel like a perv saying that. And I don't know whether to feel bad or proud because of it. Shocked

This whole "shy, introvert" persona of his may just be a cover-up. . .like on the inside, he's really a player/lady killer. . .but he's just too embarrassed and modest to admit it. . . .
And this may just me my drowsiness talking but. . .whenever I look Manpei directly in the eyes. . .I get a completely different feeling compared to when I look Shinpei in the eyes (which is a entirely different story I'll get into some other time. . . Cunning Onion )

Yup, it's him :3 The girl is still a big Tokio Hotel fan. In the forum we're in, there are so many nice girls (who all was supposed to be Tokio Hotel fans). Now, she's the only one. But mostly, we're fangirl over the same thing/person/whatever. So, since we all liked TH-twincest, I showed them the Takagi twins and most of them liked them, too. I have to blackmail Michi! She HAS to make me a bag, too! xD'

I downloaded the episodes! (It's a good alternative to watch it, if you don't like to wait 45 minutes. Then click here.)

But I haven't got so far, I HAVE to watch it! *_________*

Girls, I think we all want our mature-looking-black-haired-twins back, ne? Maybe we should send them a mail... xD' Don't they know they look so adorable with black hair?

Yeah, you, too? They both have so different looking eyes. Shin's are way more open and Man's looks kinda... I know why he stars as Kaoru. Whenever he looks in that adorable way, squinting his eyes, he looks like... the uke ._. Hahaha xD' Sometimes, his looks are so intense! I can't really figure out how to describe it ._.

LOL!! I totally agree! He's a big teaser and it's not good for any of us, or our ovaries for that matter.. He just want us to have blood spurting out of our noses and still goes I'm a 'look but don't touch' policy, ladies

Just imagine if he lets Shinpei took a picture of him in the bathtub. I can see it now..Manpei smiling at the camera oh so deliciously, sticking his feet out and hiding the rest of him underwater...

Btw, I just noticed in that ikemen show, right after Manpei's done with his 'proposal' and walking to his seat, I could've SWORN I saw Shinpei's expression darkens. And this goes on even after Manpei sat down. Everyone was smiling except Shinpei. I understand a little bit of body language and let me tell you, Shinpei was NOT happy.

Wow, I never really thought about it like that before. . .but you're definitely onto something there!

    LOL @ "the uke" Razz

I think their different personalities just come out in how their eyes are set. . .or something like that Rolling Eyes

Like how Man is the more "calm" of the two; he's more laid back, reserved, and (based on his blogs) likes to think deeply and carefully about things, so his eyes seem more relaxed and focused(?)

Shin usually has this peppy, excited look about him. . .I think that's why his eyes are always so big Big Laugh
Shin's eyes sometimes look to me like they're almost dancing. . . Onion Starry Eyes

(But then they have those rare moments when their eyes and faces are set the EXACT same way. . .and then it takes me longer than 3 seconds to tell them apart and I feel like a total failure. . . Wall ... Onion )

Chiba Yudai (and I think Ryusei Ryo) mentioned that Manpei has a princely look and attitude about him, and I think they're right! Like when I imagine those fairy tales about a prince going to rescuse his beloved princess. . .I definitely think Manpei's features fit that description Cunnin Onion Idea

Darnit, why'd you have to go and say that. . .now I wanna see it for real!!! Onion Tantrum

But hey, I've still got my fingers crossed that I do a risque photoshoot soon Cunning Onion (I still don't get it. . .there's actors 4-5 years younger than them who've already done 'M'-rated photoshoots. . .what the matter with the folks at Stardust Promotions?

Okay, I officially need to get a life now. . .because right after I read that last line, I immediately went to go watch that video clip! LOL
It was kind of hard to tell at first because of the camera angle. . .but for a minute there, Shin did sort of look like he had this sour expression on his face. . . hahaha
Everyone else was laughing and smiling. . .but Shin's face looked very "unamused".

But yeah, I definitely don't know what that was all about. . .lol Although. . .this guy has a history of getting jealous of Manpei over the most trivial things. . .
But in his defense. . .even though I thought Man's proposal was cute and very sweet, I still liked Shin's proposal the best! Onion Thumbs Up

Question for those living in Japan or for anyone who thinks they may be able to answer this: During that proposal challenge. . .the first kid bowed, Manpei just put the ring on her finger and Shinpei hugged her first. . .is the "getting down on one knee" thing not as common in Japan as it is in other Westernized countries?

And for that matter. . .can you even just imagine the idea of either Manpei OR Shinpei getting down on one knee, presenting you with a diamond ring and asking you to marry him???
I would SOOOOO start crying!! Onion T_T
(and then of course I'd say "Yes!")

Oh yeah, and after watching the Ikemen show again plus doing some extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that

*Shinpei has both of his ears pierced, Manpei only has the left one pierced. I checked and double checked other photos and even the TV Homme photoshoot video. . .Manpei always has only an earring in the left ear. Can't believe I never picked up on that before. . . .

Sorry, guys (T_T) I've returned to bring you another dose of depression. Shin has finally posted in his blog about their grandmother...

    My beloved grandma

    Hi.
    I have sad news today.
It's showed up in many blogs, too, but
my beloved grandma suddenly passed away.

I heard about it from Manpei.
At first I didn't believe him at all, but more than anything else, I was surprised.
    I told Manpei something like
    "Bastard, don't lie to me."

The inside of my head just went pure white.
Cause just a while ago she was doing so well.
Even though she said, "I'll see you again, ok?" with a smile...

    How?

    Why?

I still wanted to give my grandma so many things.

    Why??

I won't forget her last smile.
    It's painful.
I want to see her smile again.

    Grandma
    I miss her.

Ever since I was little, I've really been Grandma's boy, and she would fix me dinner and run my baths for me.
We went to festivals together, and trips, and out to dinner, and out to see plays.
    I remember all of it.

When I came home to Nagoya and visited my grandma, she would always ask me "Have you been trying hard? Watch out for your health, and do your best!"
She was always really, really, really gentle.
She was full of love and kindness.
She was someone I could really respect.

She was stronger than anyone else as she fought that sickness, and it gave me a lot of courage. And motivation.
Like, I have to work harder and harder.
It gave me tons and tons and tons of encouragement.
In tough or painful times, when I saw my grandma, I thought, "I have to work super hard."
Even now, I'm able to do my best like this because my grandma was there.
She was such an important person to me.

    But

if I keep such a sad face forever, my grandma will get sad, too.

    So grandma
    I'll do my best!
I'll work so hard that my determination reaches all the way to Heaven!
    Just wait and see!
Cause when I get back to Nagoya, I'm going straight to see you.
But for now, please rest peacefully.

    I love you.

    +~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+
    +~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+

BTW, just in case you're wondering...

I'm totally crying right now, because I can't tell you how hard it was to translate that Onion Attacked by Te I could feel his emotions so clearly in his words (I hope I conveyed his feelings as well as the meaning of the words themselves). Even though Manpei was very open about his feelings, somehow Shinpei's felt more "real". They just cut to the bone. They're so raw, like open wounds, and I could picture him in my head... just... Well, Manpei was in shock and grieving, but Shinpei seems like a lost, devastated little boy searching for reasons where there are none, and it really hurts my heart to hear it.

But Shinpei is Shinpei after all, and where Manpei seems like he's going to sit on his grief and mourn for a good long time (which is healthy and I totally wouldn't/won't blame him), Shinpei seems like he's already decided that he'll mourn, but that the best way to honor his grandmother is to shake off his melancholy and do what he know she would want him to do... work hard and succeed. And that's really admirable of him. I just hope he lets himself really mourn like he should without trying to bottle up his sadness and hide it away behind a brave face.

    Rain on My Parade

Hopefully the rest of us can fight off this melancholy, too!!

    -------------

As for the proposal question: no, I don't think kneeling on one knee is common in Japan.

And secondly... I could've sworn both Man and Shin have BOTH of their ears pierced (o_O) I remember looking at all the pictures and watching them all through Indigo no Yoru and Ouran, and usually they only wear an earring in one ear, but I could swear I've seen them wear earrings in both before. I'll have to go back and check now... Shocked

Thirdly, they totally have different eyes. I noticed that, too. They say the eyes are the windows to the soul, and I've always thought that was really true. But with Man and Shin, it's SO OBVIOUS they have different personalities!
