HAHA! No licking allowed! Well, no more, at least.

Is it just me or does Shinpei look oddly older here? I think his eyes look different. Of course, I am still comparing him to Ouran, but he really does look a little different. Very much older. What do you think?

Dude, I was TOOOOOOOOOTALLY thinking the same thing the other day.

For one thing, I think he's gaining back the weight he lost for role has Hikaru (I noticed his face looked kind of gaunt and sunken in in certain episodes).

Oh sure, he's still scrawny, but you can definitely see it in his face, his cheeks are all nice and chunky again Smile

And I agree he definitely looks older here. . .but I think it has something to do with his clothes too. I think this is actually the first role I've seen him in where he didn't look/act like a teenager. . .he actually looked, well. . .kinda manly here Cool

Even the way he spoke (using his natural voice) and carried himself. . .very mature and adult. . .

For a change Shinpei actually (dare I say it??)looked like a 26 year old man!!

I've never seen him like that before. . .it may take some getting used to, but I kinda like it Very Happy

It'd be cool if he did more roles like that in the future.

I like it too. I like it when the two of them act like teens, but I really enjoy it when their adult sides shine through, reminding us that it is legal to oogle them Onion XD Sorry, had to say it Onion Daydreaming

    Oh, I totally agree.

It's cute when they portray "loveable brats" but manly Manpei and manly Shinpei is definitely just as good Onion Thumbs Up

I think it kind of shows what they've been saying a lot lately, how they want to grow as actors and adapt to playing all different types of roles. I think they do a pretty damn good job of it!!

I know there's plenty of American actors who are twice their age and constantly play the same times of roles over and over again year after year. . . Rolling Eyes

That's why I love the Twinpei's. . .they aren't just pretty faces :3 Nodding They actually have talent in those gangly little bodies!!

    AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
THOSE EYES!! THOSE BEAUTIFUL DEEP BROWN WINKING EYES!!!!

Onion Love Eyes Onion Starry Eyes Onion Skipping Onion Love Onion Nosebleed Dead Onion

Is there ANYTHING more precious than Shinpei winking at us? Now that I think back..there is. Manpei winking at us, while giving us that seductive bedroom look. OR both of them winking at us and giving the bedroom look. Mushy gushy!! I want them to do that!! I bet my pants won't just fly away and my ovaries will burn to ashes, but my entire being would be called back to Heaven on the spot because they have the power to change the world. <--reference; Hatsune Miku's song (Nebula)

I hope my mum doesn't die of heart attack when she sees the gif I've saved in my files. She now have a profound and obvious crush on Shinpei... (me; Suspect )

And you're right about Shinpei looking like an almost 27-year-old in this. Though it's refreshing to see them act/look so young and carefree, but it's also great to see them act/look their own age as well.
I don't know which side to pick though, but as long as they can balance their mature and childish side, hey, any side of them is fine by me Very Happy

    Anyways about that video...

Onion Stress Load Damn thing kept getting stuck every two minutes..I can't watch the video properly without having to reload from where I left off.. I suppose it'll be a while before what's going on with my computer to be better again, and I hope by then it's not too late...

Thanks for posting the video, Mrs. Takagi! I don't have time to watch it right now, but I will try and watch it this evening so we can talk about it. Oh, and I am still checking for Indigo No Yoru subs, but nothing new in that department T_T

Also, Rena, breath, breath, calm down. If you die then we will not be able to fangirl with us, and that I will NOT allow! Onion Red Card LOL

    I'm so sorry about that Rena-chan T_T

And I don't think it's just your computer though, because mine does the same thing. In the past for youtube, when you watched a video, USUALLY it would load all the way to the end of the clip, and then you could watch it all the way through with no problem.
But lately it's been doing this thing where the video won't load unless the clip is already playing, and it just loads as you watch it (which I hate Rolling Eyes ) Sometimes the video will suddenly stop loading and you have to restart the page and all this other nonsense. . . Mad

I hope you get to watch it soon though! I've watched it 4 times already Razz

    WARNING:SPOILER ABOUT THE EPISODE

    Spoiler:
I didn't notice this before, but thanks to the subtitles, and someone leaving a comment about it on tumblr. . .Shinpei actually speaks English a couple of times Surprised I didn't catch it at first because of his accent (his character is supposed to be from America I think).

He sounded uber-cute Onion Starry Eyes

Episode 11, which Shin will also be in airs in Japan on friday, which means the subs for that episode should be ready by sunday night. . . Onion Laugh

Bookworm, thanks for still keeping tabs on the Indigo no Yoru subs.

I was actually thinking about that earlier when I was watching Akibaranger. . .I couldn't figure out how this show, which JUST came out. . .has people subbing the episodes within DAYS of it airing in Japan.
Whereas Indigo no Yoru, which came out about 2 and a half years ago. . .still has no English subtitles yet?. Onion Hypnotised

And there were a lot of popular actors on that show, including the twins (meaning more possible fans for the show). . .I mean if subbers can suddenly pop out of nowhere to sub all of these other short-lived dramas between then and now. . .how come a drama that lasted for 60+ episodes hasn't been subbed yet?? Onion To Kill

I mean even the Ouran drama episodes got subbed in less than a week. . .there's some crazy conspiracy going on here!!! Onion Outrage

    *calms down*

    I'm okay now.

It's just that Indigo is such a good show and I've already seen the whole series twice now. . .It'd be nice to understand more than 5% of the dialouge, know what I mean?

I still totally appreciate the sub-team that offered to provide English captions for Indigo. . .but I still can't believe it took THIS long for anyone sub the show at all. . . No

All well, moving on. . .during my usual boredom at home today, I found some useless yet interesting information.(Well, it was interesting to me anyway. . .lol)

According to what I read, on the show Gekirangers (I don't know how familiar you guys are with the characters real names, besides "Retsu")
but when you put the characters names together; Restu, Gou, Ran and Jan apparently their names were chosen so that when you read that whole sentence with a *Japanese accent*, it's supposed to sound like "Let's go run and jump" X-D

LOL I get a kick out of that for some reason. . .(I'm a nerd, I know)

And the second thing is. . .

according to a Japanese myth, when two people who are madly in love with each other each commit suicide (Romeo and Juliet style), they will be reincarnated in the next life as. . .you guessed it. . .TWINS!!! cheers

I don't know about you guys, but I think that explains SOOOO much!

I truly believe Man and Shin were lovers in a past life, there's just no other way to explain it. . . :3 Nodding

Part of me also thinks that they were girls in a past life, but that's another story. . . Big Laugh

(But wait a second. . .wouldn't that also possibly mean that in a past life, the Twinpei's were. . .a lesbian couple? Suspect)

I really need to get a life. . .ASAP.

Hi! I haven't had time to watch the episode yet, but hopefully tomorrow I will. So Shinpei is a character from America, huh? Now that is interesting. I look forward to watching the show even more Surprised

Yeah, the Indigo subs is such a stupid situation. I enjoyed watching the 5 episodes I did. Even without being able to understand them, it was still a great show. Of course, I had the plotline for those 5 episodes from two sources, so I knew what was going on, but I was still confused at some points Suspect

And, Mrs. Takagi, yes, you do need to get a life. But so do I, so, welcome to the club Laughing I was talking to my friend today and we agreed that we both need to get a life. Then she said that I actually went out and found a 'life' on the Internet, with this Forum, Tumblr blogs, BIGBANG stuff, Ouran stuff, etc. I agree with her :3 Nodding It may be a weird life, but it's mine cheers Besides, if I found a normal 'life', I would have never met you all! I like having friends like you girls who are interested in different things, like Ouran and Takagi stuff, instead of 'normal' things. Normal things are boring. I prefer discussing the chances of twin brothers being, in another life, a lesbien couple. Big Laugh

    HEY EVERYONE!!!! Smile

I'm so sad that our lovely group has been reduced....
I've been trying to keep up! Lurking once in a while, all that....But life has kinda gone hectic! With graduation, placement exams, hosting a party in a few days, work, and college orientation! I'm gonna die. Dead Onion

But I DID watch the akibarangers episode! It was interesting.....And let's just say I screamed a few times when Shinpei came on.... Onion T_T

Rena....Once again, your picture edits are BEAUTIFUL. Just sayin'.

Mrs. Takagi.....I think that you are possibly the goddess of videos...You find EVERYTHING!!! *in awe*

Also....Look what ichigo-kurimu posted! Has anyone else seen this before???

I squealed quite a bit after seeing it....

She also had a report put up of the Onikiri Hime performance....

    Spoiler:
At the end of Friday afternoon’s performance of Onikiri Hime, a few of the male cast (aka: the ikemens + the not so ikemen) were part of a talk show. The male casts in attendance were Takagi Manpei, Maeuchi Takafumi, Nanba Shohei, Mori Masaru, Nishiyama Takeya, & Tozawa Yasuaki. It was MCed by ikemen commentator Oki Naomi.

MC: Well let’s get this talk show started. Please welcome the cast!

Manpei, Nanba and Maeuchi come on to stage limping and holding on to their arm as if they were hurt!

MC: As today is the 3rd day, please give your self-introduction and maybe a little comment on the play. Well let’s start from the ikemen side….

Nanba Shohei went first. He introduced himself and thanked everyone for coming. He comments that he sweats a lot and left droplets of sweat all over the stage. The cast started teasing him and said he was like a fairy leaving fairy dust all over the place and hence he gained the nickname of Tinkerbell.

Maeuchi Takafumi was next, but I don’t really remember what happened.

Manpei introduced himself as Katsura Yuuki. He talked about how Onikiri Hime was the first time he had tried sword fighting and that he really loved sword fighting. He then thanks Mori-san who was standing beside him. He continues that he hopes he can use the things he learnt from this show for his future.

Mori Masaru, one of the sword fighting teachers who was also a cast member introduced himself like he was going to an omiai (match making) party. My name is Mori Masaru, 33 years old, blood type AB. His parents had come to watch that show. And while he was talking, Manpei and Maeuchi were trying to look for his parents in the audience, first pointing left, and then pointing right. He got quite a lot of claps because he was very good at his puns.

The next two cast members were the demons. The MC kept teasing them (especially the chubby demon) that they shouldn’t be on stage, they aren’t ikemen enough.

MC: As this was a play about demons, have you ever felt that you were a demon?

Manpei: (Raising his hand) I’ll do it! Well, I have a twin…

    MC: I know ~

Manpei: And we live together …

MC: You do? (she was being sarcastic)

Manpei: Yes, just the two of us.

MC: Wow I’m starting to imagine what happens ~

    Manpei: Nothing, nothing happens! (sweats)

MC: Hmmm, that sounds rather fun. (laughs)

    Manpei: Well…

    MC: Manpei, please come forward

Manpei: I don’t really like coming forward.

MC:(Looking at the audience) But we all want him to come forward right!

Manpei: Well… When you’re tired, there are things you have to do… like folding the laundry and stuff

    Maeuchi: And underwear?

Manpei: underwear… No underwear… (audience LOLs)

        No… well…. (Feeling rather uneasy)

MC: It’s okay! What about your underwear?

Manpei: Well when I need to fold my laundry, and I know Shinpei’s probably busy and tired, I go to sleep deliberately and Shinpei has to do it for me.

    MC: So cute…

Manpei: That is when I feel like I’m a demon because I know Shinpei has to wake up early too.

MC: You’re such a cute demon. Don’t you have a harsher demon story…

Maeuchi: Well I live alone. When I go home, I have so much laundry and underwear (that needs to be washed) but I’m tired so I pretend to be asleep. (Notice a pattern?)

Well unfortunately I end up really sleeping and when I wake up the next day I feel like I’m such a demon!!

MC: What kind of underwear do you wear?

Maeuchi: Boxers. You want to know that too?

MC: Well let’s ask Manpei. Does that happen to you and Shinpei? (Referring to not washing the underwear)

Manpei: Well I would kind of sweat… (uneasy laugh)

It gets pretty bad. Today I’m wearing briefs. I haven’t worn briefs since I was in junior high school. But usually I wear boxers.

(It seemed Manpei was quite uneasy with this topic, but he tried his best!)

The male cast seemed to end up getting into a pretty intense discussion about the comforts of briefs vs boxers. Chubby Oni Tozawa-san talks about how he had just ripped two of his underwear the day before.

Tinkerbell also comments that he lives alone (do we see a pattern here? They are trying to appeal that they live alone while Manpei doesn’t).

He continues saying that he has to cook and when it comes to cutting the vegetables………. he stops and says that he has no idea how to connect the story into him being a demon. So he tries again. He talks about how he thinks that cutting off the head of a carrot is such a waste. But then stops because he still has no idea how that makes him a demon. Maeuchi seeing how much Tinkerbell is having a problem with trying to connect his story into him being a demon, goes up to him, whispers into the microphone, “just tell them that when you cook, you never wash the dishes right away and instead leave it until the next day because you are too tired.” Of course he whispers into the mic and everyone hears.

(The lady beside me who likes Maeuchi jokes to me: I think that just made him the demon (trying to corrupt the young))

Next was Mori Masaru’s turn. After three very adorable demon stories, the MC asked that the older cast tell a more demon-like story. Unfortunately, it looked like he didn’t seem to have a great story about him being a demon either so instead the MC asked the cast to comment about him as a teacher. He was after all their sword fighting teacher so he must have been a demon when teaching them. Maeuchi and Tinkerbell talk about how he has a weird way of trying to get into character by going “Usshu! Un Un!” Manpei had a story as well but everyone was pretty deep into discussion about Mori’s rather weird character.

Finally bratty Manpei cuts in … Shssss I have something to say. Let me talk! (It’s so rare to see Manpei like this. He’s usually so quiet)

He tells a story of something that just happened right before the show. While Manpei was putting on makeup, Mori Masaru suddenly came into his room holding a can of red bull. And standing behind him, he kept kissing the can (doing actions as well) then walks away. Manpei was curious what Mori-san was doing.

Mori: I wanted it to give me wings. (laughter)

The other two cast members had demon like stories too but unfortunately the MC came to the conclusion that none of them had really good demon like stories. And the MC continued to tease them because they weren’t ikemen enough so there was no need for them to step forward. Poor Chubby demon ~ You were great though.

MC: Are there any demons around you?

    Mori-san didn’t really have a good story.

Tinkerbell talked about how when his brother cuts his nails, the nails would fly towards him and often hitting him.

Manpei:(Once again raises his hands.) It’s about Shinpei again.

I have a 500yen chokin (saves 500 yen coins). Sometimes Shinpei will “borrow” my savings (without me knowing) and either returns his debt with 100yen coins or bills.

MC: But isn’t that nice? He returns them in bills.

Manpei: But then it’s not a 500yen coin savings anymore. And the bills kind of clog the opening of my piggy bank in a very weird way. So I think that makes him a demon.

    MC: I think that’s cute.

Nishiyama and Tozawa is the next to say. They all seemed to have really cute stories. But MC just doesn’t believe that those people are demons because it all sounds so cute.

MC: There is a request for Mori-san to say a pun.

Mori: Eh??!! Are you serious? “Neko ga nekonda!”

Manpei: You wanted Ai to say that in the play right? But she didn’t and told you to say it instead.

MC: Manpei, you really like Mori-san don’t you.

    Manpei:Yes I do!

The chime for end of talk show rings.

MC: Well we’ve come to the end of the talk show. Everyone please say something.

Manpei: Thank you very much to take the time from your busy schedule to come watch the play. Right before the start of the play, I really was shaking; both hand and soul. Although I was nervous, I came on stage and I think I did a good job. With this feeling I’m going to cherish every minute and every second until the end. I’m going to try my best. As an actor, I’m going to strive to make everyone happy. For those who came today and thought it was funny, there are still 5 more shows, please come watch again. Thank you very much.

As they left the stage waving at the fans, Manpei yelled out “Thanks dad!” Not sure if that was meant for his own dad or for Mori-san’s dad.

The talk show was hilarious. After Manpei’s first story, everyone started building upon his story. My stomach was hurting so much from laughing so much. I think Manpei took his role as the zacho very seriously. He took the lead so many times. Compared to Playstar where all the actors were sempais, this time it was mostly members who were Manpei’s age so it was nice to see him join so happily in the conversations.

    credit goes to ichigo-kurimu

I feel like the whole part where Manpei wouldn't tell what he and Shinpei do sounds...interesting. Hmmmmm.....Like you guys said before, maybe they were lovers in their past life??? Cunnin Onion Idea
    That would explain so much.

Reine!! I remember you hun, how ya been? Hug

Yeah, our formally bustling fan forum has now been reduced to less than 10 followers now. . .

It's such a same too. . .we even had some new members who stopped dropping by after 4 or 5 posts. . . Corner of Woe

But the 'Twins Appreciation' page is alive and kicking, I promise you that!! Onion Thumbs Up Sorry you've been so caught up in actually having a life (I wish I could say the same lol)I really hope you'll be dropping by more often though ^_^

You got to watch Akibaranger?! Awesomeness!! I lost count of how many times I saw Shinpei smile, I was gushing the whole time. I actually had to remind myself that less than 10 months ago, he was playing a 16-year-old high school first year. . .

I'm looking forward to episode 11 though, it's supposed to be a big turning point.

I LOOOOOOOOOOVE finding these videos for you guys!!! cheers It can take hours hunting and pecking for this stuff though. . .and I get irritated with just how hard it is to find these videos. . .specifically about the twins. I think there's fangirling out there holding out on us. . . Onion Red Card

I've absolutely seen that photo of the twins before. . .I found myself staring at it FOREVER the first time I saw it. . . Onion Love
Mostly because it's so easy to tell who is who: they smile the EXACT same way now as they did then!

    Manpei====>cute smirk

    Shinpei====> 1000 watt smile

Plus, they look just adorable then as they do now!! Onion XD
I'm sure they took like a zillion pictures of them together when they were younger, I hope they post more like that in the future.

And I checked out that stage-talk from the 'Onikiri Hime' play as well.

I adore how Manpei and Shinpei always end up talking about each other when they do interviews seperately. It almost NEVER fails, you know? Razz

It seemed like Manpei was trying to hide something there to me. . .I don't care what he says, I think some pretty interesting stuff goes on in that apartment they share. (I mean if they fold each others clothes. . .INCLUDING each others underwear. . .there's got to be more juicy info there too Twisted Evil )

I can totally picture Shinpei stealing money out of Manpei's piggy bank, but then trying to replace it. . .they're mean to each other and then nice to each other. . .just like a married couple!! Smile It's so cute!!

That reminds me,I actually found a bunch of magazine articles about the twins (or that included the twins). I found like over 20 pages, but all I could do was look at the pretty pictures because there are NO translations for the interviews n stuff. . . T_T

I'm sure we'd know SOOOOO much more about them from those magazine articles. . .

After I've had myself a little nap, I'll come back and post them a bit laterz :3 Nodding

Yaaaaaaaaaay!!! I'm so glad that you finally got a chance to watch it!

And your conclusion about the show is the exact same as mine! Onion Laugh

The first time I watched it, I actually forced myself to sit through the whole thing and not just fast-forward to Shinpei's parts. . .lol

I actually got so lost in the plot a couple of times, I forgot about the main person I was waiting to see in the first place! In my opinion, I actually like Akibaranger ALOT better than Gekiranger (Sorry, Manpei)

Like you said, I like how the show is more of parody, and it's all just a bunch of nonsense. Like. . . it's cheesy, but the purpose of the show is to play up on that (obvious) fact. It's like it's poking fun at itself, y'know?

Gekirangers was cheesy, but tried to hide it or pretend that it WASN'T cheesy by making the plot all "menacing" and serious. . .personally, I found it hard to put up with a lot of the time Neutral

I cracked up at the "Gekiblue" reference Razz I've noticed that during the few TV shows that the twins have starred in seperately. . .the other twin ALWAYS manages to make a cameo appearance anyway Big Laugh

    -Shinpei in "Cafe Kichijoji de"
    -Shinpei again in "Gekiranger"
    -Manpei in "Akibaranger"

Always together, even when they really aren't. . .how lovely Hug

Anyway, this ep was definitely a goodie, and I'm glad Shinpei's character gets to stick around for another episode. There's a rumor that his character is actually one of the bad guys in disguise. After watching this ep for the 2nd and 3rd time, I also got the feeling that something seemed a bit "fishy". . . Suspect

Episode 11 should be ready by this weekend, I'll probably watch the RAW version as soon as it comes out, but now that I know you guys prefer to wait for the subtitles, I'll wait for the subbed version to come out and just post that on here instead Very Happy

    OH YEA!

And something else I just figured out. . .the guy who plays the "regular" Akiba Red on this show (his character's name is Akagi Nobuo, but I can't think of the actors name right now). But anyway, when I saw him and Shinpei together, I got this strange feeling like I'd seem them together before. . .

I can't believe I didn't recognize his face/voice at first, but after going through my "Takagi File" I finally figured it out.

That's him in the middle! In Indigo no Yoru he played "Jyonta, the #1 host at Club Indigo".
Or as I like to call him "The guy who always had a huge afro for some reason Shocked "

I think the twins have worked with him like 2-3 times before in the past. . .and I can't remember his name, but I'm too lazy to look it up!! Onion Tantrum
I only remembered because Akagi's character likes to yell a lot and as I recall, "Jyonta" was always shouting for some reason. . .

('Moichi' and 'Mosaku' often did stuff that made Jyonta yell at them too. . . Cunning Onion )

I TOTALLY forgot I promised to post those magazine scans I found with the twins. . .I'll post them here later, I promise this time!! Onion Bows

And yes, they have been in various things together. Like that one stage play......OTL now I'm the one forgetting names. Kaze......something something. LOL! *fails* um, I know there are other things but my mind is going blank right now. It's dangerous coming here.........that Shinpei gif should come with a warning. XDDDDDDDDDDD When I first saw it a couple of days ago, I think I stopped breathing for a couple of seconds. Literally took my breath away. ROFL!!! *being cheesy*

Anyway, I'll be back on Friday. I MISS YOU ALL!!!! TT_____________TT I have a very important test in like five hours so I'll keep studying. KEEP FANGIRLING FOR ME!!!

oh and now I have the mental image of Shinpei folding Manpei's underwear. XDDDDDDDDD Well I suspected that they folded each other's clothes from time to time but I thought it would be Manpei doing the folding. XD BUT IT'S JUST SO CUTE HOW MANPEI GETS ALL SHY AND EMBARRASSED ABOUT IT!! <33333333333333333 That's his obvious way of showing us that he loves Shinpei. XD Kind of how Shinpei's face lights up when he talks about Manpei. XD Two different reactions but it's the same love message they give each other~ hahahahahahaha! ok I'll be back laterrrrrrrrr~

I actually can't believe that I forgot to post up "Onikiri Hime Talk Show" translations from ichigo-kurimu Rolling Eyes
You'll get the full details on the whole "folding underwear" thing as well as some other goodies such as. . .

-What underwear Manpei prefers to wear Onion Nosebleed
-What he does that means him feel like a "demon"

-An annoying habit that Shinpei has and the cute way he tries to make it up to Manpei

(To be honest, I always assumed that the twins did their laundry seperately, but from the way Manpei explained it, not only do they do their laundry together, but they take turns folding it as well! Underwear included apparently Onion Laugh )

I wish they could've just spent the whole time asking Man about him and Shin. . .I personally find them a lot more interesting compared to what the other actors were saying (no offense to them)

I'll put it under spoilers since it's kind of long.

    Spoiler:
    Onikiri Hime Talk Show

Manpei: "Thank you very much to take the time from your busy schedule to come watch the play. Thank you very much."

As they left the stage waving at the fans, Manpei yelled out “Thanks dad!” Not sure if that was meant for his own dad or for Mori-san’s dad.

    ALSO!!

Ichigo-kurimu translated Manpei's blog entry from a few hours ago. True to his humble personality, he once again thanks every single person who had anything to do with helping him do well in his last production (he's so sweet!! Onion Starry Eyes )

Needless to say, this post is long too, so I'll be tucking it under 'spoilers' as well, hehehe

    I’m Not Going to Lose

    Good evening

Sorry for not updating in awhile.

It’s been hard during rehearsals to update.

It’s been rehearsals everyday recently. Although roughly we went through the first act.

Personally I think there’s still so much I need to improve on.

    There’s so much to remember.

It feels like my head is exploding.

It feels like my body is not expressing the way I want to express in my brain.

    It’s really frustrating.

Everyday on the way home I reflect on my faults and review for tomorrow.

There’s not a lot of rehearsals left, tomorrow I need to concentrate even more.

When you finally climb to the top of the mountain it feels great, the scenery is great right. (*refering to how when he is finally sucessful in a great play)

I promise to make this great.

    I won’t lose.

    Well.

Time to read the script and review.

I’m going to try my best!

    Good night.

    Aaahh..thank you Reine-san!
Wow, reading that alone makes me feel somewhat depressed but seeing how he doesn't want to give up, kinda makes me elavated again. I bet you all agree when I say we felt the same way throughout our lives, right?

There's the times where we felt like so stressed out because of what's been going on and thinking, how the heck am I supposed to go through with this? The stress is overwhelming! But when thinking of our happiness and happiness of others in the end, makes us strive to go forward no matter how difficult it is.

Despite his cheery and easy-going, simple attitude, I have to say Shinpei is strong. As in, mentally strong.
The failures in life makes him tough and he mask his sadness with that smile of his. Even the death of their loveable grandmother (may she rest in peace) he could still go to talk shows and such, though with a pained expression, but he's good at hiding it.

Truth be told, there are times I felt like crying for his sake, but I know that he and Manpei wouldn't want to get their fans, friends and family worried so they always try to cover up their sadness with something.

So in the end all we could do is cheer them on.
And by golly I shall DO THAT! Don't worry Shin-chan!! You'll get through your problems without a hitch! GANBATTEYO!!!!!

    Domo! Smile

It's amazing how people stay so busy over the summer (well, people who actually have lives, unlike me. . . Rolling Eyes )

The summertime makes me cranky anyway, so with certain exceptions of course, I prefer to stay indoors anyway.

    (Mrs.Takagi=Good-for-nothing-lazy-bum) Onion Yawn

Anywho. . .Reine-chan, thanks for posting up the translations!

I definitely get a lot of power from reading about how hard the Twinpei's are working. I actually think that one of the FEW times they actually act like mature adults is when it comes to their work.

'Cuz when they AREN'T working, they revert back to 16-year-olds Razz

I think they're very strong mentally. To see how much they put into what they do really makes me not want to be such a lazy bum, you know? (In my defense, I'm only lazy during the summertime!)

I could go on and on forever about how much I admire what they do and how they do it. They're just so beautiful inside and out. Hug

Can't wait to see your next photo edit, Rena-chan! Very Happy I was just looking at Shinpei's blog photo again, and I just noticed that Shin is TOTALLY lying in bed in that photo! LOL

He and Manpei have the same black/leather headboard, and it looks like they have the same pillow case as well. Not that I'm complaining (much) but Shin doesn't really take crazy/random photos of himself in bed like Man does.

Wassup with that, Shinpei?? Evil or Very Mad

Speaking of which, I was finally able to track down episode 11 of Akibaranger. At this point I'm not sure what to make of it since the subs aren't available yet and I really couldn't understand what was going on.
(Especially how Shinpei's character "Tsuzuki Takuma" made his final exit. . .I really didn't get it. Neutral )

But anyway, Shin-chan did I really good job.

Here's some screencaps that ichigo-kurimu took with her cellphone of episode 11. Shinpei looks so cool, ne? :3 Nodding

    Spoiler:

To be honest, I'm actually looking forward to either one or both the Twinpei's being cast in a TV show as regulars again, and not just as guest stars. As we all know, they seriously have the talent it takes to be the lead in a role: comedy, drama, sci-fi or even action/adventure.

Not to mention, it's kind of frustrating when they do back-to-back plays throughout the year and all we non-Japanese resident fangirls can do is just read about it. . . No

Oh,and speaking of plays, here's a little announcement Manpei left on his blog a couple of hours ago (translation also courtesy of ichigo-kurimu)

    NOOOOO!!! WHY ME?! WHY NOW?!
Onion To Kill Onion Tantrum Onion Icy Breeze Onion Cursed/Down Rain on My Parade

I can't post the edited picture, and I've done it with such passion too! This always happen when my computer slows down. It'll probably take me days until I can post it, and I don't think I can wait that long...
oh well..nothing I can do for now..

Pillowcase..? Suspect Senpai, are you sure those are pillowcases? From what I know (thanks to them both posting pictures of each other sleeping Rolling Eyes ) they have no pillowcase. That's their normal, pillowcase-less brown pillow on their equally bedsheet-less mattress.
Kinda normal for a couple of single guys.. Razz But I do wish they'd put on SOMETHING over those empty beds.

    -staring at Shinpei's picture again-
-compares to Manpei's bed in Takagi file-

Yup, that's their original-coloured pillow, not a pillowcase in sight.

    And I think the whole reason Shin-chan doesn't take a picture of himself in bed is because (my theory);

    1) he's not that much of a teaser like Manpei
    2) he only shows that kind of seductive pose to Manpei and ONLY Manpei.

That's just a theory though, it'll be the talk of the century among the Princesses if that's to be true. Razz

Senpai, when you said this, I felt..I dunno..strange, but in a good way. I think seeing them together doing all sorts of things (get yar mind outta ze gutter!) excites me. It's been a while since they make lovey-dovey posts for each other and help each other around the house like cooking and cleaning.
I wanna see Shin-chan cook for Manpei again!!
And Manpei sweetie..DYE YOUR HAIR BACK TO BROWN!!! Onion To Kill

By the way, before I forgot, thanks for posting the screencaps here and the blog translation. I have a love for the rain too..it's just so soothing to my ears and helps lull me to sleep.
This is where Manpei goes sentimental, but I like this side of him, don't you all agree? Very Happy

And Shinpei looks so charming in that red outfit! He looks so manly except in the screencap with the two girls there..that smile once again made him revert back to a 16-year-old. So cute~~!! :3 Nodding

...Now...I'll try to wait until the 'host picture' button is back..computer so slow, so agonizing..ugh..

OH DANG ITTTT. I was really looking forward to seeing your picture edit Rena!!! Is there a problem wrong with your computer? Have you clean out the mechanics inside? Maybe they're too dusty...

I agree...They're both so...perfect. I think they're the type of people that will forever stay in everyone's hearts. IWe've never even heard anything but compliments about them!

Wait. What??? They don't use bedcovers or pillowcases???? How does that even work???

And Manpei has such passion for his work!!!! I think I understand how he feels though. I had a dream last night about acting...And all the emotions were so vivid, it was amazing!!!

So....How is it that Shinpei is the more playful one and Manpei the shyer one yet he's the one that teases us all the time????

No no no..it's not the mechanics or anything, it's the Internet. I use Maxis Broadband stick which has to be paid monthly for it to be fast. Apparently I've forgotten to include this month's amount when I paid for it a couple of weeks ago! Mad Now I have to wait for a while until it's fast again!! GAAHH!!

ReineChui wrote:Wait. What??? They don't use bedcovers or pillowcases???? How does that even work???

Nope, they don't use it. If you were to dig deeper into the thread (not sure if it's this one or the other one), you'd see a picture of Manpei sleeping without bedsheets and pillowcases.
I'd love to post the picture for you..but my Internet's a bitch right now... Evil or Very Mad

ReineChui wrote:So....How is it that Shinpei is the more playful one and Manpei the shyer one yet he's the one that teases us all the time????

I think it's because he's playful that he doesn't like to show us some skin. Remember, Shinpei's the socialite, always wanting to do things in the light and making himself known. Manpei on the other hand tends to move to the shadows where he shows his 'darker' side. He's not that much of a socialite therefore he's Shinpei's shadow, hence my deduction. Knowing he's got some VERY sexy smile, Manpei tends to put that to good use to tease us secretly.

Shinpei can't do that because..let me start from the beginning.

Twins are one half of a whole where one person's personality is split. Shinpei holds the 'bright' half, Manpei holds the 'shadow' half. We could tell this because Shinpei's so eager and playful and you can see the glint in his eyes 24/7.
Manpei on the other hand is more stealthy, quiet and 'mysterious'. He's not that open like Shinpei and there are times you can see he has that ominous, strange cloud behind him saying 'I'm up to something' or the likes. Especially when he leers or glares, and even when he's upset and his eyes narrows.

I know this because I can relate myself to Manpei. I move to the shadows where my actions are hidden. And because of his shadow-y tendencies that Manpei likes to take some...teasing pictures unlike Shinpei who's uncomfortable to show his sexy side. This is because he's got less shadow personality since most of them's transferred to Manpei.

In short, Manpei's bolder than Shinpei, he just likes to do it in the dark and the comfort of his room. I think Manpei's the boldest of them all.
