Chatting options

So like, live chatting is fun too, although the forum is a great way to have organized conversations.

But I was wondering, how about a separate chatroom that's always open? People would just log on whenever they're on their computers, and chat with whoever else is online. It doesn't have to be the same room we do episode live chats on.

It could be another tinychat room, but there are other options. I know my friend participates in a chatroom like this where it's always open (Chatalia, if anyone's heard of it) using Chatango as a host.

BECAUSE I WANT TO CHAT WITH PEOPLE AGAIN. (since episode live chats are during school. )

(^)Lol...me too! I'm a fast typer, but a slow thinker. So when I try to reply back, they already change the topics. But having a chatroom sounds fun- I'd totally do it.

I suspect having an always-open one might be less hectic than Nipplechat, since we're not all trying to be online at the same time, it's just a whenever thing. XD

I'm mostly hoping for Cindy and Izzy's opinion on this, since this group of fans is mostly Cindy's doing ( ), and Izzy knows a lot about technical internet-type things. >w<

but also if you guys have a lot of support for it then it's awesome.

I think this is a good idea! It would let us get to know each other better, which would be nice. /not in a creepy way at all.

Actually, apparently on Chatalia, they know like everything about each other. XD
My friend met one of the other Chatalians over the summer at a convention, and her real-life friends didn't even realise it was the first time they'd met in real life. >w<

I wouldn't mind learning more about you guys, too. XD It'll make it a bit less awkward when I meet loveintokio and hopefully Izzy (and anyone else who wants to come!) at Anime North next year. >w<

I would love to go to Animenorth... if I can get a new car that would actually make it there... *sigh*

Alas, I don't know much about the creation/maintenance of chatrooms or..actually, most things that are live on the internet. But I'd be interested. Also, anyone interested can have my msn email.

Seems like you're most familiar with Chatango out of all of us so go ahead! Do we need to make an account though?

Actually I know hardly anything about Chatango beyond "my best friend uses it". XD But I'll set one up, and play around with it, and compare it to Tinychat and see.

Not tonight, though, I've procrastinated homework enough. XD (whoops.)

Also, there's a chatbox here. I just discovered it looking for extra blog settings (so far non-existant). Only options for the chat though, are to put it at the top or bottom of the homepage. I'll leave it open for a bit on the bottom of the homepage so we can have a look at it, ne? (You have to log into the chat bit (or, well, click the button, if you've already logged in normally) to appear as online there.)

We can see how that works! ^w^
But I was thinking something separate from the forum, so that even if someone doesn't want to be on the forum for whatever reason, they can still go to the chat. Also they can check the forum simultaneously while chatting.

I'm really busy as of late, so no promises until probably Wednesday evening at the earliest. x_x

After making a new chatroom on both, I have decided that despite what my best friend says, Tinychat is better than Chatango.

So far there's no password, which I guess can be changed as need be.
I called it Ouran Nipplechat because I thought just "Nipplechat" might attract...erm...potential unwanted attention. XD We don't necessarily have to be chatting about just Ouran, though. This is our "whatever" always-open chat. FOR FEMALE BONDING AND STUFF.

Cindy, I made the ouranliveaction Tinychat account a moderator. Izzy, if you've got your own Tinychat account, let me know (and tell me what it is), so I can add you too. (I'll also probably add moderators based on who's on frequently.)

I've made a thread so that you can post every time you're online, and if anyone on the forum sees it, they'll join you.
