I personally thought Haruhi and Tamaki at the supermarket was adorable.

I feel the same and that's why I find them adorable in this ep!^^ In the manga though, they're suppose to be the "gruff-mother and cry-baby son" (quoting the twin's comment in the manga). But in this drama, they looked more like the "kind older sister and cute younger brother", lol.Raitei wrote:-It doesn't look much like Tamaki and Haruhi are a couple. It looks more like a mother and an overgrown child to me.
Is it bad that the more he gets abused the more I love Tamaki??Raitei wrote:-I'm starting to really pity Tamaki for all the abuse he's receiving. Poor guy.
The live-action drama is based on the manga and they follow it faithfully, so far. In the manga, Renge wasn't in this story. (they made Renge appear more than she should have in the anime, just like Nekozawa's appearance in the live-action.)Raitei wrote:Oh, I didn't see Renge in the preview. Will she appear?

Oh hey, Ele, did you get my message in your ask box? I'm totally up for a second weekly live chat but we gotta figure out the time/day when as many people will be available!

I guess not. Lol. Maybe Yusuke will build nicer muscles with all these "exercise" he's getting into. >.<yanie wrote:Is it bad that the more he gets abused the more I love Tamaki??![]()
Aww. I read the manga, but I've already forgotten most of the details. You're so cool! I'm a little sad, but I think it will be another awesome ep!yanie wrote:

So I don't think she'll show up at all next week.
I thought the same~ I thought those scenes were so well done; they were very natural, it seemed like they'd just been told, "go into Haruhi's apartment and be generally irritating" rather than "Ok, Daito go and unroll that foil..." etc. ...if you get what I mean ^¬^'Mrs.ManpeiTakagi wrote:It's another episode win for the Ouran Host Club live-action drama!!![]()
It was great, but I really am amazed with how much the producers of the show are taking their own spin on the episodes, and not just copying what was done in the manga or the anime versions.
Couple of things. . .
-The scenes at Haruhi's apartment were absolutely hilarious!! (And speaking personally, I thought their apartment looked totally cute/comfortable, I would totally be happy living in a place like that ^_^)
I loved how as soon as they got in, the host club members just starting going through Haruhi's things, touching stuff without even asking, and then Tamaki fell in love with the kotatsu. . .And of course Kyouya's apparent fascination with the aluminum foil. . .
And Haruhi is just in the background fuming, getting irritated by the second. . . .LOL
-Yusuke Yamamoto really deserves some type of award or formal acknowledgement for his portrayal of Tamaki in this show. I think when the cast of the show was first announced, more than half of the Ouran fans (including myself) were a little iffy about Yusuke's ability to pull off the role of Tamaki. I am now more than 110% convinced that Yusuke is the BEST thing that ever happened to Tamaki Suoh since the character was created in the first placeI really can't find any complaints about him.
Tamaki's kindness, overly emotional and dramatic tendencies, his "diva-like" persona, his incoherent ideas and babbling. . .Yusuke has done an absolutely astounding job bringing all of that to life: all of that to me definitely spells out "Best Actor in a Romantic Comedy series"![]()
